PrimeIT bets on young talent
June 20, 2022
Since the beginning of the pandemic, PrimeIT has been looking all over the country to find the best national talent.
PrimeIT went back to the tech and job fairs, promoted by colleges and universities from all over the country to be present in events that help hundreds of young talented people who want to start their careers discover more about the IT market in Portugal.
The “Forum of Iscte School of Technology and Architecture” was the first to welcome the tech company this year on the 23rd and 24th of February. FISTA is a two-day event filled with presentations, workshops and spots where national and international companies can interact with students. The main goal of this festival is to help the students of the School of Technologies and Architecture get to know the reality of IT companies.
Next came SET – The Corporate and technological week from Instituto Superior Técnico – an event organized by students from all the courses of IST at Taguspark. SET happened in March with the goal of bringing the academic and corporate world closer. This event fits in with the IST Career Weeks initiative, where PrimeIT was present and had the chance of sharing with young talents their experiences and know-how.
In the north of Portugal, there were also the FEUP Engineering Days, which is living proof that the students of the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto are ready to start building their future. This event which is already on its 7th edition was held from the 19th until the 22nd of April and counted with the presence of hundreds of students.
PrimeIT remained in the north of Portugal and went to ENGeniUM, an event organized by several engineering branches of the Universidade do Minho.
Back on the capital, Jobshop Ciências was also a stage to share PrimeIT’s expertise. On the 11th and 12th of May, the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, was transformed on a almost Sillicon Valley by the hands of the Gabinete de Empregabilidade e da Associação dos Estudantes da Faculdade de Ciências de Lisboa (AEFCL) and brought to the students a selection of companies.
After that, PrimeIT headed towards Coimbra for Acordar Coimbra, an event promoted by the Júnior Empresa da Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra (JEEFEUC). Its purpose was to decentralize the debate about IT and the work market. The contest went on for two days and had several lectures, mentoring moments, support to the development of ideas and training on communications and pitch – all students were allowed to participate.
PrimeIT always didn’t always attend the events in person but even via computer it was possible to transmit to the students the company’s mission and its best practices. On the 10th of March, PrimeIT was present on the online fair of nstituto Politécnico de Setúbal, followed by the Business Week Coimbra Business School do ISCAC and Job Summit in May.
This presence on several fairs dedicated to the recruitment of the best national talent helps reinforce the bet on a highly qualified market, with value to all the areas that are relevant to PrimeIT.
