PrimeIT consolidates growth as a technology partner in the Public Sector
March 27, 2023
In 2022, PrimeIT consolidated its presence as the State’s technological partner, increasing its market share and business volume. The strong investment in Public Administration doubled the growth rate compared to the previous year and left the Portuguese technology company with excellent prospects for 2023.
Ricardo Oliveira, Head of Public Sector at PrimeIT, highlights that “over 16 years, we have built a long history of technological projects both in the private and public sectors, namely in Switzerland. Gradually, we are bringing our know-how to the Portuguese Public Administration sphere as well. 2022 has reinforced our position and brought another dimension to this strategic partnership with the Portuguese State”.
PrimeIT closed 2022 with a turnover of 108 million euros, a growth of 28% compared to the previous year, a number leveraged by the development of projects in the Public Sector. Besides new partnerships with educational institutions such as the University of Coimbra, the Nova School of Business & Economics, and the Nursing School of Coimbra, PrimeIT also collaborated with other public entities in the transport area, such as the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC).
The goal set for 2023 involves consolidating the projects started in the previous year, and simultaneously managing new partnerships with different entities for the provision of technological services in the direct and indirect administration of the State.
“We have a very strong, comprehensive, and diversified portfolio, as well as a structure capable of addressing the RRP projects. Through these synergies between the Private and Public Sectors, Portugal is converging with Europe in the development of highly digitalised Public Administration pillars prepared for the challenges of modern society. However, the one size fits all vision does not work. Reforms and technological solutions must be adapted to the cultural and institutional context of each public entity, as well as to the needs of its users and internal technical teams. This is, therefore, PrimeIT’s main objective. In this way we reinforce our capacity and sense of mission to be at the service of the Public Sector and benefit society with our value”, concludes Ricardo Oliveira.
