PrimeIT is IT Channel’s partner of the month during February, therefore reinforcing its position with an important communication channel on technology and which disseminates the best of what is done in the sector. In this edition, the consultancy shares the importance that its employees have in the success of the company and raises the veil on its future ambitions.

The future of PrimeIT with the certainty of the importance of its teams

Known as one of the happiest companies to work for in Portugal, PrimeIT maintains its belief that the great secret to its success lies in doing what brings it and its teams happiness. The company stated to IT Channel that this is only possible because its pillars are the very people who work daily to take the 100% Portuguese technology consultancy even further. Despite the recognition of the good work developed over the last 14 years, Gonçalo Mousinho, Internacional CEO, states that “we are not a satisfied company. If we continue to grow and to accept challenges it is because we believe in the spirit ‘Always one step ahead’. Our top management believes that we have to be where we are not yet, so we never look at a day and think we are already in the right place or have reached the dimension we have idealized“. Between 2016 and 2019, PrimeIT was the target of a great evolution and growth, with less than 800 employees and a turnover below 40 million euros, in these three years it exceeded the 1,500 employee mark and saw more than 80 million euros of turnover reflected from its work. Given this milestone, and in a world as competitive as the IT market, Joana Leal, CEO, says that one of the biggest challenges is managing people, making the “machine” work because “we are all different, with different personalities, attitudes and ways of seeing things. Reconciling people management with the goals and strategy of the company is not always easy”. However, she reveals that there are great expectations for the future, mentioning that “for the next ten years, I want to achieve a sharp growth and ambitious goals for PrimeIT. If we do not have ambition, we will hardly get to where we want and we would not feel fulfilled. And my ambition is clear; I want our company to reach the ten thousand ‘Primers’ in ten years’ time… and that is what we will work for!”.
